M W I Oli

M W I Oli began his tenure at London Churchill College in 2006 as Director of Studies and for 5 years was a senior lecturer at the College. He acquired his LLB (Hons), PGD in Law, LLM, PGD in Business Management and MBA. He was also awarded Bar at Law by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

Upon completion of his post-graduation from City University London, he started his career in 2002 as a lecturer in law. Later he worked in several other colleges as a senior lecturer and course co-ordinator. He has a long-standing academic interest in issues of Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Law of European Union, Commercial Law and taught all those subjects over many years.

He is a member of The General Council of the Bar, England & Wales, Bangladesh Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar Association, Bangladesh, as well as the Dhaka Bar Association.
Outside academia, he is also involved in various social and community activities.

Bhuiyan Sakib

Executive Director

Bhuiyan Sakib gained an MBA (University of St Mark & St John) in 2015, BA in Business Administration (University of East London) in 2009, BA (National University Bangladesh) in 2002.

He has served as a Director of London Churchill College since 2011 and holds other directorships in investment companies.

Executive Director

With 11 years of experience in the UK Higher Education sector, Mijan Chowdhury is an experienced sales and marketing professional. He has been overseeing London Churchill College’s marketing strategy for over a decade and continues to plan creatively on how to reach out to potential learners in the community.

Having acquired his MBA in Management, Mijan is running several businesses successfully. His portfolio shows a wide range of business in the healthcare, properties, and retail industries. He believes in empowering staff members and focuses on setting-up institutions and installing robust cost-effective systems that enable high productivity in working environments. As London Churchill College’s Director of Marketing, he has steered the organisation through successful student recruitment.

Masud R Khan

Executive Director

Md Masud Reza Khan is a Shareholder of the holding company and has served as a Director of London Churchill College since 2011. He has over 12 years’ experience of working at various levels in the Higher Education sector. He has interests in property development and serves as a Director of investment companies.

Syed A Murshed
BSc., MCP

Executive Director

Syed A Murshed is a co-founding Shareholder and Director of London Churchill College and Director of associated companies. He has interests in property development and serves as a Director of investment companies.

His knowledge base includes Information Technology, having served many years as as a software engineer. He enjoys computer programming and the challenges of analysis, showing dedication to his work and the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

He is married with two children and enjoys travel and music.

Dr Nick Papé
PhD., FHEA

Executive Director & College Principal

Nick Papé has 30 years’ experience of working at board level of companies in industrial and commercial sectors. He has served as a Director of multi-national companies, PLCs and private companies with direct responsibility for developing strategies to deliver company policies. These included working closely with a range of professional national and local trade bodies and organisations as well as experience of arbitration of trade disputes. Since 1990 he has been an academician and academic manager at UK Universities with a specialism in generativity. He completed his PhD research in 2014 on student engagement. He is a published author and has been Principal of LCC since 2017. He has a deep interest in psychology and inter-personal functioning and researching students’ drivers and theories informing psychoanalysis.

Nazim Uddin
MBA, PG Dip, BSc, BBM, ACCA, FHEA

Company Secretary

Nazim Uddin is an academic, award-winning entrepreneur and a qualified accountant with a substantial track record in learning, teaching and assessments. He is a Fellow of a number of professional bodies including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Higher Education Academy. Nazim was a lecturer at University of East London for six years, an assessor for the ACCA and an external examiner for Newcastle University for four years.

Nazim is highly committed in widening participation and supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds to improve their career prospects by helping them to develop their behaviour, attitude, mindsets and to acquire employability, enterprising and technical skills and knowledge.

Peter Bathmaker
BSc, PGCE, FCIPD, BSP

Non-Executive Director

Peter Bathmaker graduated with honours in chemistry from Birmingham University in 1967. He also holds a PGCE from Exeter University. He is a retired Fellow of the CIPD, a ‘professional’ of the World at Work Society (formerly the American Compensation Association) and was on the Register of psychometricians of the British Psychological Society. His career was in operational management and corporate planning with the British Railways Board, in Industrial Relations and subsequently Human Resources management with Royal Dutch Shell. He was Personnel Director of Dixons Stores Group, Group HR Director of House of Fraser plc and of Pentland Group plc. He consulted in Executive compensation and benefits for Price Waterhouse Coopers where he advised the remuneration committees of companies and other public institutions including companies in the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250. For 11 years he ran his own consulting practice with clients including the OECD and WTO. He has retained a strong interest in education, lecturing at the European Institute for Industrial leadership in Brussels, serving as a school governor, as a governor, deputy chairman and chairman of North Hertfordshire College. He has worked overseas in the Netherlands, Australia, the USA, Germany, Thailand, Syria and Gabon.

Dr Tommie Anderson-Jaquest
PhD (LSE-IR), DMus (ABD); MA (IR-Dist); MA (Soc), MMus, BMus, Certs Ed. FHEA, FISM

Dr Tommie Anderson-Jaquest is a highly skilled academic professional with demonstrated capabilities for thinking strategically, leading others and working effectively within teams in the public and private UK Higher Education Sector.
Born and educated in the United States, initial career interests centred upon classical music performance. Qualifications obtained include a Bachelor of Music (Southern Methodist University), a Master of Music (NorthWestern University), a Professional Doctorate (ABD) in Vocal Performance undertaken at the University of Indiana (Bloomington), and the acquisition of three professionally recognised teaching qualifications. Thereafter, she continued to work as a free-lance operatic and concert vocalist, vocal coach and teacher for many years in the US and UK.
Career directions changed when an opportunity arose to work in London as a Research Analyst in the International Coffee Organisation. Interests began to shift towards international trade and asymmetries demonstrated in respect of commodity exchange. While undertaking full-time work, four UK postgraduate qualifications were earned: a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Social Policy (North London Polytechnic), a Diploma in International Studies (University of London), a Master’s Degree in International Relations (University of Southern California – UK Campus) and, ultimately, a PhD in International Relations completed at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
In the late 1990s, career directions changed once more as a result of increasing interest in teaching, academic management and quality review in the UK HE sector. Since then, wide-ranging experience in a variety of the UK public and private Higher Education Institutions has been gained as a lecturer (City University London and LSE); Principal Lecturer, Department Head and Programme Head (Regent’s University); Dean of Quality and Research (St Patrick’s College); External Examiner (University of Buckingham); University Link Tutor (Coventry University); a PhD Thesis Supervisor (University of Gloucestershire); Fellowship in Advance HE (FHEA); a QAA Reviewer; the Principal Editor of two HE Academic Journals and an independent consultant, committed to providing assistance to private providers in the UK HE sector.
